The IFIP International Internet of Things (IoT)
Conference is the annual event of IFIP totally dedicated to IoT research, innovations, and applications. The seventh conference in the series continues to put emphasis
on the multidisciplinary nature nature of the IoT world. IoT encompasses a wide range of topics such as communication network protocols, cyberphysical systems,
embedded systems, data analytics and machine learning algorithms. Additionally,
it considers social, legal, ethical, and economic aspects, with the aim of enabling a vast array of services
in areas like e-health, mobility, energy, manufacturing, smart cities, and agriculture, just to cite few examples. IoT deployment
needs also to take into consideration the security, privacy, and social aspects of networking, which need to be
fully investigated to ensure real added value for IoT users.
The IFIP IoT Conference addresses this wide variety of topics. Papers are sought to show technical advancements, research on major questions,
innovation, pilot site results and policy issues.
Perspectives might be from the people and organizations involved, like researchers, users, user organizations, the ICT industry, authorities, and regulators.
- Hardware/Software Solutions for IoT and CPS (HSS): The Hardware/Software Solutions for IoT and CPS (HSS) track focuses on the integration of hardware and software technologies to enable the development of efficient and scalable systems for the IoT and CPS. This track will explore topics such as system architecture, energy-efficient hardware design, low-power communication protocols, software optimization for resource-constrained devices, and security and privacy issues. Additionally, this track will highlight recent advancements and future research directions in the field of IoT and CPS, including machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques, edge computing, and cloud-based systems.
- Electronics and Signal Processing for IoT (ESP): The Electronics and Signal Processing for IoT (ESP) track focuses on the design and development of electronic devices and signal processing techniques for IoT applications. This track will cover a broad range of topics, including sensor design, low-power electronics, wireless communication, and embedded systems. The ESP track will also explore signal processing techniques such as signal acquisition, filtering, compression, and analysis.
- Networking and Communications Technology for IoT (NCT): The Networking and Communications Technology for IoT (NCT) Technology track focuses on the latest advancements and innovations in the field of IoT and focus should be on IoT networking, wireless and wired communication technologies, protocols, standards, and applications.
- Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Technologies for IoT (AMT): The Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Technologies for IoT (AMT) track focuses on the integration of AI and ML techniques for IoT applications. This track will cover a broad range of topics including the development of intelligent algorithms, big data analytics, and decision-making frameworks for IoT systems. The track will also explore the use of AI and ML for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and optimization of IoT systems. The AI and ML track will highlight advancements and challenges in the field of IoT systems and their integration with AI and ML techniques.
- Cyber Security/Privacy/Trust for IoT and CPS (SPT): The Cyber Security/Privacy/Trust for IoT and CPS (SPT) track focuses on the security and privacy challenges of IoT and CPS systems. This track will cover a broad range of topics including cyber threats, privacy breaches, data breaches, and unauthorized access to IoT and CPS systems. The track will also explore solutions for securing IoT and CPS systems, including cryptographic techniques, security protocols, intrusion detection, and prevention mechanisms. Additionally, this track will discuss the challenges of maintaining trust and privacy in IoT and CPS systems and the importance of ethical considerations.
- IoT or CPS Applications and Use cases (APP): The IoT or CPS Applications and Use cases (APP) track is focused on exploring the real-world applications and use cases of IoT and CPS technology. The track will bring together experts and professionals from various industries to discuss the challenges, opportunities, and innovative solutions for utilizing IoT and CPS to improve various domains such as healthcare, transportation, energy, agriculture, and others.
This year's IFIP-IoT technical program will include one day of workshops followed by two days of conferences. These will include contributions from guest speakers, plenary lectures, technical sessions, special sessions,
expert panels, research demonstration sessions and a research forum for students.

All abstracts should be limited to 1 page and must be written in English. Submissions should not be
anonymized. Authors must follow the Springer formatting instructions for the IFIP AICT
series, see here.
At least one author of each accepted abstract must register ("as Student") before September 30, 2024 and
present the paper.
Papers (abstracts) accepted for this session will not be published in the conference proceedings.
The sole purpose of this session is to provide an opportunity for PhD students to present their work in progress, to receive feedback, and to network.
